Corporate Sponsorship

Lead from the Front

Companies who support Mission’s transformational work sign on to the front row of changing the game for all who battle cancer. It is a choice to align with triumph, determination, health/wellness, innovation, leadership, vision, strength, camaraderie and courage.

From underwriting specific programs such as the Training Center or Speaker Series to sponsoring a particular content or programmatic area (nutrition, exercise, mind body health and more), there are many opportunities to connect your company with all that Mission represents in support of the booming demographic of cancer survivors.

For specifics on sponsorship, please contact Jeff Keith at jeff@yourmission.org or 203.418.4105.

Give By Check or Stock

Another Hand Up for Survivors

– Donate By Check
If you would like to mail your donation to Mission, address it to PO Box 566, Southport, CT. 06890. Or please download and complete our Donation Form.

For more information, please email Jeff Keith at jeff@yourmission.org. Thank you on behalf of the thousands of cancer survivors that we serve.

– Donate Stock
Your broker can assist you in making a gift of stock or securities via a direct transfer to Connecticut Challenge, d/b/a Mission. Stocks that have increased greatly in value, particularly those producing a low yield, are the best to donate because giving a stock that has increased in value and that you have owned for more than one year may provide a greater tax benefit to you than giving cash.

Your charitable income tax deduction is equal to the fair market value of the stock and you avoid paying the capital gains tax on any increase in the current value over the original cost of the stock.

You may also save by not incurring brokerage fees because you are transferring ownership rather than selling the stock.

Even if it is a stock you wish to keep in your portfolio, by donating the stock and using cash to buy the same stock through your broker, you will have received the same income tax deduction but will have a new, higher basis in the stock.

If you would like to make a gift of stock to Mission, please note the following information:

More

Corporate & Foundation Giving

Statement of Need: There are 16.9 million cancer survivors in the U.S. today. This number is expected to increase to 21.7 million by 2029 and most will face a wide range of potentially debilitating, life-threatening after effects from the treatments needed to save their lives.

The good news is we know healthy living choices are highly effective in neutralizing these effects. Programs of fitness, nutrition, mind-body health and community-building support are the way forward to a longer, stronger, happier life for cancer survivors, yet their needs are unmet. There are just not many programs for survivors after treatment is done. It is a hole in the healthcare system. Mission is filling it with approaches to cancer survivor wellness and resources that break the mold at every turn.

Grant support and corporate giving will help us continue to shift the paradigm for this underserved, exploding demographic.

For information on corporate or foundation giving, please contact Jeff Keith at jeff@yourmission.org or 203.418.4105.

Cause Marketing

We hear it all the time: Cancer touches nearly everyone. So perhaps it is no wonder that companies are jumping on board to take a stand against all that cancer would try to take away by supporting Mission programs through cause marketing programs throughout the year.

From shopping tie-ins to sales promotions to wellness events and more, the opportunities to leverage the broad impact of cancer to “do well by doing good” are varied and vast.

For information on cause marketing programs, please contact Jeff Keith at jeff@yourmission.org or 203.418.4105.
