Throwing Off Cancer.
Avid Surfer. Rugged Individualist. Pro Pitcher.
Not too long after being drafted to pitch in the Big Leagues just out of high school, Daniel Norris, now 25 years old, was diagnosed with thyroid cancer. He tackled his diagnosis as he does his life: with determination, focus, faith and a forward-facing approach that got him back to the professional pitching he loves within a year of treatment. An avid surfer and modest beyond compare, he lives in his van, traveling during the off season in search of big waves across the country. His philosophy? Be kind, be courteous, love others and be happy.
