Throwing Cancer to the Curb.
Student. Pitcher. Coach. Showman.
Logan Barer was diagnosed with Stage III melanoma when he was just 9 years old. A baseball player for “as long as he can remember,” Logan threw cancer to the curb then went on to become a two-time Pitcher of the Year in high school. Now a thriving senior at Ithaca College, he has been pitching for the top ranked Ithaca College Bombers since his freshman year and aspires to a career in baseball – as a player or broadcaster. A youth baseball coach during summers and as funny and philanthropic as he is athletic, he is also a member of the improv group Troupe du Jour that raises money for charity through its performances.
