Nicole Graham was diagnosed with leukemia four years ago and made a major recovery to enable her to complete her outstanding high school scholastic athletic career in May 2014. Graham, who is a junior in college, played lacrosse, field hockey and was a member of the indoor track team said, “Cancer is this miserable experience, but you can come out on top.” Says Dave Ruden in his feature about her, “Her story is horrific, but it has left her a fiery ball of inspiration as well as a role model and a willing spokesperson for the power of fortitude.” For more about Nicole who is currently captain of her college club lacrosse team and training for a half marathon, click here.
